Amsterdam. I was wondering if you can do something real quick for me.
1. What are the pros and cons of living in Amsterdam?
2. How are the people like? Is there alot of seperation of ethnic groups or does everybody just blend in?
3. What about the religious situation. I hear that in Amsterdam there is a problem with extremist or radical muslims with riots and trying to turn all of Europe into “Eurabia”?
I am asking this because I am considering instead of going to college here in the U.S. I would rather go to school in Amsterdam and be able to major in my area and experience a different culture at the same time ( i know about applying for visas and the fact that i am going to be so far away from family).
Thank You

to leave the central eastern-coast (U.S.) at sunrise and reach the central western-coast before it actually rises?
This is a purely hypothetical question, obviously. I started wondering about it this morning as I was driving home from a miserably early (but necessary) ride home from the store. The sun was starting to come up, and I was wishing it’d go back down… long enough for me to make it back to bed with a pillow over my head, at least.
l don’t expect a precise calculation, as the distance will undoubtedly vary depending on where you shove off and where you arrive on either coast. That’s why I suggested “central” for both, to narrow it down a bit.
So how fast is fast enough to “beat the clock?” Anyone have an approximate idea?

I want to talk to a Yahoo rep now – because of course they waited until a Friday evening to say that they were suspending service for 48 hours due to unusual activity. What could possible be unusual about accessing the account from Hungary, then Turkey – plus me accessing it from the U.S.?! We have access to each other’s accounts. I am less scared now than angry – I want to know how he is all the time, on our terms. He is well able to take care of himself with phones and internet cafes. I am posting this because I can’t get anyone to talk to me on the weekend, and that’s when they chose to suspend service.

My parents are up for sending me on a trip to Europe, as in Scotland, Ireland, England, for my senior trip. It will be just me going. I want to go during 2009, preferably in summer and by this time I will be 18. I have gone before throughout Paris and Italy with EF Tours.
Can anyone help me find a tour I can go with? Like with another school from the U.S. I have spent about 2 hours trying to navigate EF but I just can not find a way to see what trips are going on without emailing them.
Your help is much appreciated!

Dozens are behind bars in Gordon County charged with stealing others identities. It’s a felony crime that Calhoun Police say is part of a larger operation, and they’ve now busted a big group involved.
In 2 nights, Calhoun Police say they have arrested 24 people, and are still looking for about 6 more. They say the illegal immigrants were all using false documents and false identities, a crime they say has more consequences and victims than you may realize.
In Calhoun, Georgia, Police Lt. Tony Pyle says, “They were able to pick up about 24 people that they were looking for.”
Pyle tells us they’re all charged with identity theft and possession of fraudulent documents. They say they had all purchased a name, social security number, and birth certificate illegally to work here in the U.S. “They knew it was wrong they knew it was not a legitimate way to go about it, but I think in a way they feel they were taken advantage of.”
Calhoun Police Lt. Tony Pyle explains that identity packages can simply be bought for a few hundred dollars, and they’re the ticket to a job and life here for illegal immigrants.
Pyle says the suspects lived across Calhoun and worked at different businesses, restaurants, and plants, but he says they all got their fake IDs from the same person. “There may be certain individuals that are selling these documents or this information and it travels by word of mouth, people that are here illegally will obtain it.”
Obtain it, and use it for things like utilities, and filing for taxes with employers, transactions that end up costing others. Pyle says, “The IRS will send the real person, real name a tax form saying you owe thousands of dollars.”
Pyle says that means there are more victims, the people who legally gained citizenship, but had there identity stolen and shared. “It’s not just that they’re using it and not hurting anyone, they have basically taken over your identity with a negative impact.”
Those charges are felony crimes. Pyle says if the suspects are convicted, they will most likely be deported.

So I returned from Guatemala back to the U.S. and have been experiencing rather severe bloating, diarrhea, cramping/abdominal pain and weight loss. I went to two doctors here and they had no idea what they were doing/looking for. Anyone have any ideas? I have been doing my own research, but not really narrowing down any possiblities over here.
This has been going on for 6 weeks and I’m getting rather thin. I have started ParaGone detox, as well as taking grapefruit seed extract. I am feeling a little bit better from when this all started… but not back to normal what so ever. I also took Flagyl and Cipro with no luck, and I am taking probiotics to clean up that disaster.

Is it okay to go to Puerto Rico (U.S. outlaying territory) with a legal, but unstamped, E2 Visa. I understand that I can go around the US without the stamp, but I need to get it stamped/approved from my home country (which is really hard and risky) in order for me to leave and re-enter the US.
Does travelling to Puerto Rico count as leaving the country?
I want to plan a trip there, but I want to make sure I can re-enter US Mainland again. Do I have to get it stamped/approved before I can re-enter again? Thanks

Well, I was born in Mexico, and was brought to the U.S. as a small kid. I had no clue what was going on, but I’m glad it happened! lol, anyway…this summer I want to fly to cali. My question is…can an immigrant fly within the U.S. without a passport? I do have a school I.D. which in my opinion would be ok?
Thanks!
Please refer me to a website or something!

My friends and I want to go away for spring break. We are in the U.S. and want to go abroad.
Friend 1 wants to lounge on a beach and have drinks.
Friend 2 and I want cultural/historical/art experiences, or essentially, we don’t want to waste 7 days soaking up sun when we can be actively engaged in life.
I suggested Mexico for the Mayan Ruins, plus Cozumel and other Caribbean beaches. Friend 1 is worried about the water there, which is ridic.
Anyway, are there any other happy mediums, such as Caribbean places with more to do than just lounging on the beach? (I’m a fan of snorkeling, so I’d likely be snorkeling on the days we went to the beach, but I don’t want to be there all 7 days.)
